Dolby's revolutionary Dolby Atmos technology dispenses with the channel-based surround sound coding used for decades, in favor of advanced object-based coding, giving the sound designer the ability to place sounds precisely anywhere in the three-dimensional soundspace. Now you can enjoy this award-winning technology at home with the AVR-X6300H, which features the ability to connect a 7.1 surround sound speaker system and 4 additional overhead speakers or Dolby Atmos-certified elevation speakers for the ultimate home theater experience.
The latest immersive surround sound system, DTS:X features similar object-based audio coding, and provides for overhead speakers to deliver a stunning surround sound experience. Even without Dolby Atmos or DTS:X encoded content, the AVR-X6300H supports both Dolby Surround and Neural:X upmixing technologies: users with a '3D' sound speaker set-up are able to get an enhanced surround experience from conventional Dolby - or DTS-encoded content, or even music in stereo, using the full set of speakers installed in the listening room.
By fully immersing the listener in a cocoon of life-like sound, Auro-3D puts you right in the middle of the action. Auro-3D provides an immersive surround sound experience thanks to dedicated height and overhead channels, in addition to the regular channels. The height information, captured in recording or created during the mixing process, is mixed into a standard 5.1 PCM stream that comes with a regular Blu-ray. Moreover, the Auro-3D Engine combines different technologies to guarantee an optimum 3D sound experience generated both natively and from existing audio content. It recognizes mono, stereo, 5.1 surround or an Auro-encoded signal and transforms them into 3D audio. Once upgraded with the Auro-Codec decoder, the Denon AVR-X6300H is capable of decoding the original Auro-3D mix and playing back an Auro-3D 9.1 or 10.1 channel configuration. Auro-3D upgrade availability and pricing to be announced.

The AVR-X6300H features a monolithic power amplifier design with Denon custom made transistors and identical circuit topology on all 11 channels. Each channel is rated at 140 watts (8 ohms, 20Hz~20kHz, 0.05%THD) and all channels are able to safely drive lower impedance speakers (down to 4 ohms). This ultimate build-quality guarantees best-in-class sound quality with minimum interferences, astonishing clarity, power, detail, and depth. Moreover, the 11 channel amplification allows for setting up a full 7.1.4 3D experience without the need of an external amplifier. If not in use for 3D audio the integrated amplifiers can get assigned to drive another pair of speakers in a second audio zone running a different source than the main room. Denon's intelligent ECO mode adjusts power consumption according to signal level, and there's an on-screen Eco Mode display that lets you see in real time how much energy ECO mode is saving.
A single subwoofer can give an uneven bass response at the main listening position, with audible peaks and dips. The AVR-X6300H provides for two subwoofers: positioned in different locations, they will even out the low frequencies, for more accurate bass anywhere in the listening area. It also provides Audyssey Sub EQ HT to give individual tailoring of each subwoofer via digital signal processing.
Discover the incredible fidelity of high resolution audio tracks with the AVR-X6300H's ability to decode up to 24-bit/192-kHz lossless files (FLAC and WAV; ALAC/Apple Lossless to 24-bit/96kHz), as well as DSD 2.8MHz (the audiophile format of SACD) and now 5.6MHz tracks, too. Play them from memory devices via the front panel USB, or from network sources – the AVR-X6300H will also play lossy file types such as MP3 and WMA.
Equipped with the full Audyssey Platinum suite of advanced DSP algorithms, the AVR-X6300H features Audyssey MultEQ XT32 automatic room acoustic correction. With the supplied measurement microphone, MultEQ XT32 analyzes each speaker's output (including the subwoofers) at up to 8 measurement locations and generates precision digital filters that optimize each channel for the correct frequency and time domain response.
Audyssey Dynamic Volume smoothes out annoying jumps in volume (such as TV commercials), letting you listen at lower levels and still enjoy clear dialogue, music and sound effects. Audyssey Dynamic EQ provides precision tonal tailoring for full range clarity at any listening level.
Audyssey Low Frequency Containment uses advanced psychoacoustic algorithms to deliver a full range tonal balance, including deep bass, but without disturbing close-by neighbors or family members in other rooms, and features a multi-step adjustment that lets you dial in the amount of containment to your preference.
Audyssey Sub EQ HT provides individual DSP tailoring of each subwoofer in a dual subwoofer setup, for deeper bass with improved definition, compared to a single subwoofer configuration.
You can enjoy your favorite movie in the main room, while others enjoy stereo sound from different sources in 2 other rooms. The AVR-X6300H is equipped with speaker connections, as well as pre-amp outputs for a 2nd zone and 3rd zone.
